Understanding and operating in Divine Principles
Kingdom of God operates according to spiritual laws set in motion by God and described in detail in His Word.sowing and reaping applies to every area of life, not just your finances. Whatever you sow in life
Why do we look at sowing and reaping as a principle because they contain both natural and spiritual laws that work together to provoke a measure of harvest.
That measure is not hidden,
It is a good measure as well as it is a guaranteed harvest.
Whenever you have a need, plant a seed. When a farmer looks at his barren fields, he doesn’t gripe about it. He just goes out and starts planting some seed. If he only has a little bit of seed, he has a choice. He can either hoard it, or he can give it away. If he holds onto it, that’s all he’s got. If he gives it away, God will multiply it.
This sounds illogical — to give away when you have a need so that you will get more back. But that’s why it’s faith! God says the way you get is by giving, not by holding on.
Sowing and reaping is a law of the natural world. On the third day of creation, God commanded the earth to bring forth living plants “bearing seed” and fruit “with seed in it” (Genesis 1:12). These plants were then given to man for food (verse 29). Ever since the beginning, man has understood the process of sowing and reaping and has applied it to his benefit.
God warned Israel that, if they forsook Him and pursued idols, the law of sowing and reaping would be suspended and their crops would fail (Leviticus 26:16b). This happened to disobedient Judah on a couple occasions (Jeremiah 12:13; Micah 6:15).
“The one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward” (Proverbs 11:18b), but “whoever sows injustice reaps calamity” (Proverbs 22:8a).
